John Legend shares no filter, no makeup photo of Chrissy Teigen

Even Chrissy Teigen’s husband is bragging about how she looks without makeup.

John Legend shared a photo of his model wife on Instagram with the caption “No filter necessary.” With her hair pulled back and a rosy glow on her cheeks, she’s inspiration with a side of jealousy fuel for no-makeup models everywhere. More than 370,000 likes later, it seems that fans definitely agree that Teigen doesn’t need makeup.

“She is so gorgeous!” wrote one fan on Instagram. Others agreed: “Nice, yep no makeup needed” and a simple “ADORABLE” were among the comments.

The couple has been sharing photos of their European vacation, a couple’s trip with hairstylist-slash-BFF Jen Atkin and her husband Mike Rosenthal. All four look like they’re living their best #nofilter life.

Not all of Teigen’s makeup-free photos are so flawless. After giving birth to her daughter Luna, she documented her skin’s change from pregnant glow to “itchy red spots.” With spots and a rash on her cheek, her skin was unfiltered and also unglamorous, the exact reason why her fans adore her.

Plenty of her realest moments have come courtesy of motherhood. In fact, this isn’t even the first time that Legend has publicly praised his wife’s natural beauty. Last summer, he shared an Instagram video of Teigen getting ready for a Beyoncé concert with baby Luna in her arms. With a simple scarf around her head and no makeup on, it was simple, sweet, and relatable parenting moment.

Teigen is known for her unfiltered beauty and unfiltered comments. She’s long shared her stretch marks in Instagram photos, working to normalize the idea of “stretchies.” She’s explained that wine-fueled nights are often the catalyst for these glimpses into her more natural life. “I do not post stretchies for the praise,” she’s said. “I post it because the wine also I like the pattern and they’re so soft.””

Teigen’s new lifestyle may leave us depending on her husband for more unfiltered moments, however. She recently told Cosmopolitan that she’s trying to cut back on her alcohol intake. “I was, point blank, just drinking too much,” she said. “I got used to being in hair and makeup and having a glass of wine. Then that glass of wine would carry over into me having one before the awards show. And then a bunch at the awards show. And then I felt bad for making kind of an ass of myself to people that I really respected. And that feeling, there’s just nothing like that. You feel horrible. It’s not a good look for me, for John, for anybody.” She described herself as the kind of person who “can’t just have one drink.”
