John Legend seems to be everywhere these days: he's on our TVs on Monday nights as a coach on "The Voice," he's on our radios singing his newest hit 'Preach,' and he's all over social media as he and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, continue to bring some much needed realness to their massive platforms.

AOL's Julia Webb caught up with the activist and EGOT winner over the phone to chat everything from what he cooks for Chrissy to how he stays healthy on tour, as well as his partnership with Naked, best known for their smoothies and juices.

AOL: Naked's new However You Healthy campaign promotes the idea that there is "more than one way to be healthy, and every little choice helps make a difference in your health and how you feel." What does that mean to you?

John Legend: To me it's about just encouraging people to take steps to live a healthier lifestyle, whether that's through exercise or diet or whatever. It is making better choices for themselves and celebrating whatever small steps that everybody can take.

How do you keep up with your healthy habits when you're traveling and on the road?

I really focus on staying healthy when I'm on tour. Actually, I think I have more emphasis on it when I'm on tour.

I drink more water because my voice really reflects my own physical health in every way, so I don’t drink alcohol on tour. I drink lots of water and exercise quite a bit and try to eat as healthy as possible so I can just stay fit and able to give my all on the stage.

What advice would you give to parents of little kids or picky eaters who are looking for healthy moves that they can incorporate into their kids' lives?

Well, I think every parent knows that it's a challenge just getting your kids to eat anything, and I think the key is you just have to find whatever works for your kid when it comes to convincing them. Chrissy and I, we started introducing the element of choice for [our daughter] Luna.

Chrissy created a menu book for her so she had more control over what she got to eat, and with each choice there’s healthy stuff that's involved, but the fact that we let Luna feel like she has some autonomy I think made her more into eating. And that seems to have worked for us, but you know kids are really unpredictable and everyone's different so who knows what it's going to take in six months or even now because they change so much -- but right now that seems to be working.

It's no secret that Chrissy is an incredible cook. What are your favorite meals that she makes?

Oh, there's so many! I love her soups a lot. She has a really good french onion soup, a really good chicken pot pie soup, a really good vegetarian tortilla soup. She has some really good soups.

Do you have any go-to recipes when you're cooking for her or your kids?

Yes, some of its not very healthy at all *laughs.* Like on Sunday, I made fried chicken and baked macaroni and cheese, which are very unhealthy but very delicious!

As an EGOT winner, you've pretty much done it all. What can we expect to see from you career-wise this year?

Well, of course, I'm on "The Voice" right now, which is very exciting and that season is airing right now. We have live shows coming up in mid-April and right now people are watching the pre-taped, the blinds, the first battle rounds. It's been so much fun being a part of that. I love my fellow coaches, I love the artists I get to work with -- I'm really having a blast doing the show.

And then I have some new music coming too. I'm in the studio working on a new album and hoping that comes out really well over the next few months and I'll probably put that out before the end of the year.
