Celebrities had a lot of thoughts on President Donald Trump being impeached by the House of Representatives on Wednesday night.

Trump became just the third president in the history of the United States to be impeached, with the House voting on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. He'll face trial in the Senate in 2020.

Stars like Bette Midler, Alyssa Milano, John Legend and Elizabeth Banks were among the famous faces who took to Twitter to praise the House of Representatives for their decision, with Legend going so far as to thank them "for doing your constitutional duty."

Younger stars weighed in on social media too, with "Riverdale" actor Cole Sprouse, former Kylie Jenner BFF Jordyn Woods and YouTube stars James Charles and Todrick Hall all sharing their thoughts on the historic impeachment with their millions of followers.

Some big names were also curious what this means for future. "Queer Eye" standout Antoni Porowski asked a genuine question about whether or not a president who has been impeached can run for office again, while "Truth Hurts" hitmaker Lizzo simply asked, "WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?"

There were also, of course, some stars who spoke out against Trump being impeached, with Kirstie Alley calling the House's vote a "dangerous precedent," "Jersey Shore" star Vinny Guadagnino expressing his dislike for Trump's potential replacement, Mike Pence, and Jon Voight sharing a video condemning the vote.
