John Krasinski revives prank war with Jimmy Kimmel with the best prank yet

John Krasinski revived his prank war with Jimmy Kimmel after taking a couple years off because he and his wife, Emily Blunt, moved to Brooklyn, which just happens to be where Jimmy Kimmel Live is taping this week. The prank war started around Christmas in 2011 when John and Emily, who used to live across the street from Jimmy in Los Angeles, left a couple of large outdoor decorations in Jimmy’s house. Jimmy retaliated by putting a large neon insurance sign in John’s driveway and the pranks got progressively more elaborate until they spun out of control. The last prank happened in 2015 when John was a guest on the show. During the interview, John was suddenly drenched in eggnog from above. So to get revenge on Jimmy, John revealed where Jimmy was staying while in Brooklyn, and made sure no one would miss it. A giant sign unraveled on the brownstone reading, “WELCOME JIMMY KIMMEL, WHO IS RENTING THIS HOUSE!” Then, as a small choir was making its way down the stairs, a man began doing tricks, like you might see in front of a cash for gold store, with a sign reading “KIMMEL” and an arrow on it. The choir then began to sing over and over again, “Jimmy’s Airbnb.” Not to mention there were two street signs that might normally be used to warn drivers of road work ahead, one with an arrow pointing to the house, and the other reading, “COME IN AND SAY HI!!” Jimmy said that really was where he and his family was staying, immediately followed by the choir giving suggestions for anyone who decides to pop in. The choir sang, “Go in and take a selfie / Selfie with Jimmy / What’s his is yours / Just open up the doors / Up, up the stairs / Steal his underwear.” Jimmy responded, “That’s great.” Jimmy was kicking himself for not pulling a prank on John. "I wish I was more prepared. I do know where you live but I didn’t do anything to it,” Jimmy said while hitting his desk.
