John Krasinski hosts a virtual quarantine prom with Billie Eilish and the Jonas Brothers

John Krasinski is helping teens who've missed out on a high school staple because of the coronavirus.

On Friday night, "The Office" actor hosted a virtual prom, featuring performances from A-list stars like Billie Eilish and the Jonas Brothers.

Krasinski announced the event, which streamed live at 8 pm EST, on Instagram Wednesday, along with a photo of himself from his own high school prom.

"First of all... you’re welcome," he captioned the photo of his much younger self. "Second of all I can’t take it anymore how much you are all missing your prom. So let’s do something about it! Let’s have an #SGNprom"

The virtual event took place on Krasinski's YouTube channel Some Good News, where he shares videos of himself highlighting positive stories amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a YouTube clip of the livestream, Krasinski bobs along in a tuxedo as Eilish and her brother Finneas O'Connell perform their hit "Bad Guy" over video chat.

The Jonas Brothers also joined the virtual prom. Rocking blazers despite a quarantine, the trio performed their hit "Sucker," as captured in a Twitter video by user @darcyyyh.

Chance Rapper and Krasinski's "The Office" costar Rainn Wilson also appeared on the stream to bust some moves, according to a Twitter video shared by user @tweakandtwerk.

Krasinski made two videos, originally posted to TikTok, in the days leading up the event, including one where he dons a tuxedo and slow dances with the camera.

"Slow dance with me!" he wrote. "no seriously, please slow dance with me otherwise I look ridiculous!"

After the stream, Krasinski encouraged fans to attend the after party, hosted on DJ D-Nice's Instagram Live. The DJ played music with a homemade "SGN Prom" sign on the wall behind him.

This isn't the first time Krasinski has used his channel in the hope of making someone's day.

On April 10, a Florida girl got the surprise of a lifetime for her 9th birthday, thanks to Krasinski, Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast of "Hamilton."

The girl's mother took to Twitter late last month, telling Miranda her daughter, Aubrey, had tickets to see "Hamilton" but was heartbroken when the performance in Jacksonville was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Krasinski invited Aubrey onto his channel, where he promised he and his wife Emily Blunt would fly her family to New York and get them tickets to see "Hamilton" when the COVID-19 pandemic subsides.

The 9-year-old's face instantly lit up, but the surprises didn't end there. Miranda "Zoom bombed" the interview with some good news of his own.

"I think we can top that right now," he teased. "If you can't go to 'Hamilton,' we're bringing 'Hamilton' to you."

Aubrey then watched in shock as Miranda and more than a dozen cast members, each at his or her own home, sang "Alexander Hamilton" from the hit show.
