John Janssen and Alexis Bellino ‘Confused’ by Patti Stanger’s ‘Love Bombing’ Worries

Viewers of The Real Housewives of Orange County haven’t all reacted positively to John Janssen and Alexis Bellino’s relationship. Mainly, questions were raised about John’s intentions given that he dated Shannon Beador for four years.

Circumstantially, the new duo went public in November 2023, shortly before the RHOC alum revealed that she would be returning for the upcoming season of the hit reality TV show. Viewers couldn’t help but question if John was strategic in pursuing partners that also happened to star on the Orange County franchise.

Now, another issue has been raised about the dynamics of the relationship by Alexis’ friend Patti Stanger.

Patti doesn’t want Alexis “to get hurt”

Bravo’s The Millionaire Matchmaker star spoke to Us Weekly to promote Patti Stanger: The Matchmaker on the CW network. The former Bravolebrity also spoke out with concerns for her friend.

“Alexis is gorgeous. I’ve always known her. She’s always been nice to me. I just don’t want her to get hurt,” Patti said. “And why would a man go buy a $14,000 ring from Van Cleef if he wasn’t going for it? So I worry about the love bombing stuff.”

The incident in question was the promise ring that John gifted Alexis in December 2023, shortly after they went public. Patti questioned the timing and intention behind the gesture.

“It’s a love bombing moment,” she explained. “You don’t really know each other to do stuff.”

The couple responded in tandem, telling Us Weekly that they are “confused” by the Patti’s statements, especially “considering she has never met John.”

Patti does not “trust” John’s intentions

However, Patti based her opinion on years of experience as a matchmaker, as well as her observations about John’s relationship with Shannon.

“When you see Shannon with John, he’s like, ‘I don’t want to go in the show,’” Patti told the news publication. “And now he’s with Alexis, like ‘Look at me. Look at me, look at me.’”

Interestingly, Patti’s “friends” set up the couple. Yet, she still does not “trust him,” referencing John’s lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend.

“Why would you sue a woman that supported you the whole time in paid mostly everything,” Patti opined. “Calling you out on that, b*tch. Sorry. That’s the one I will call out on.”

Shannon and John never lived together during their courtship, but the RHOC star was known to pay most of the bills. However, she did allegedly borrow money to fund a facelift. The mother-of-three offered the money back, but John did not agree to the offer.
