John Cena Totally Shaded Nikki Bella on What Would Have Been Their Sixth Anniversary

Since Nikki Bella and John Cena announced they'd officially split, calling off their wedding for the final time, she's been open about the relationship. John, a little less so. Yesterday would have been their sixth anniversary, and his tweet is... telling? Shady? You be the judge!

"The promises you make mean nothing compared to those you keep," he wrote.

Damn. IDK! Is this about Nikki and the promise they made to get married? Could be. Or it could be some random wisdom John decided to throw at the world in the form of 180 characters. He does that sometimes. Take for instance this tweet from August 7.

"Be vulnerable. It shows you for you. People will judge, disagree, and downright despise. But you will be you," he wrote on that seemingly random day.

Nikki, however, took a totally different approach to the situation. She instagrammed this yesterday, and the caption was a simple "8/9 | 6."

She went for the sweet, nostalgic angle instead of the "you betrayed me" angle.

On the season finale of Total Bellas, Nikki said that even though she wanted everything to work out with John, she ultimately felt like it wasn't meant to be.

“Even though I was going through depression, I think when you have a relationship in the public eye, it’s like you don’t want to let your fans down," Nikki said. "And everyone’s fairy tale was John and I getting married, Superman and Wonder Woman … so you just force yourself to believe it, too, even if you start to feel something different."
