Two John Carpenter movies are returning to theaters for their respective anniversaries.

Fathom Events has revealed special screenings in September for They Live‘s 35th anniversary and Christine‘s 40th. Each film includes special introductions made exclusively for Fathom Events by the legendary John Carpenter, as he reflects on the creative process behind They Live and Christine, and the impact and influence they’ve had on the horror genre.

The dates for both are listed below, and all tickets and locations can be found on the Fathom Events website.

They Live and Christine Anniversary Screenings

They Live – Sunday, September 3 at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time, and Wednesday, September 6 at 7:00 p.m. local time.

Christine – (Columbia Pictures) – Sunday, September 10 at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time, and Wednesday, September 13 at 7:00 p.m. local time.

They Live stars the late wrestling legend Roddy Piper as a construction worker who stumbles upon a pair of special shades that reveal the true nature of the world is controlled by evil alien interlopers and their subliminal messaging. It falls to Piper, Keith David, and Meg Foster to overthrow alien rule on Earth.

Christine is an adaptation of the Stephen King story about a car and its nerdy owner’s toxic symbiotic relationship that leads to the vehicle going on a murderous spree.

Getting the chance to see a John Carpenter movie on the big screen is a fairly rare opportunity, so this is a great chance to do so.
