John Barrowman's Unfortunate Neck Injury Has Some Complications! Find Out

John Barrowman was born on March 11, 1967, in Glasglow, Scotland. He is a British-American actor, author and comic book writer. After studying performing arts in United States International University, located in San Diego, the actor landed his debut role in a movie titled "Anything Goes."

Recently, the "Doctor Who" alum was taken to the hospital after he suffered an injury to the neck. Prior to this, Barrowman was making plans for his "Fabulous Christmas Tour," which was set to go on for eight consecutive nights. He was in the United Kingdom when he sustained the neck injury.

Barrowman disclosed this tragic news to his fans via his Instagram page on that day saying;

"I'm devastated to have to tell you that due to a severe neck injury. which has made it impossible for me to sing & move, I've been rushed to the hospital for a diagnosis."

He also went on to say that the specialists who attended to him at the hospital made it clear that he could not perform for the show, therefore, he decided to cancel.

This shocking revelation left his fans in sadness and many took to the comment section of his post to share their love for him and also wish him quick recovery.

Later on, Barrowman shared a selfie of himself and husband, Scott Gill on their way to get the final test for his neck injury. He also promised to fill his fans in on any update given to him at the hospital. Fans are still sad that the singer could not make it to the show, but they are more focused on his health as that is more important at the moment.

Barrowman began his professional acting career in 1989 in West End, London. In 1994, he joined "Godspell" as a soloist for two songs titled "On The Willows," and "We Beseech Thee."

For many years, Barrowman was openly gay and he met his husband, Scott Gill at Chichester Festival Theatre in 1993. Although the lived together for many years, the duo was officially a married couple on July 2, 2013, in California.
