In a video that has since gone viral, Graziadei mistakenly identified Blanchard as the late Supreme Court Justice, guessing, "I do know who this person. Is it Ruth? No? Is Jinsburg? Ginsburg? Something like that"

Joey Grazaidei is making amends for putting his foot in his mouth.

During a recent visit to the White House, The Bachelor lead, 28, gave a sincere apology to press secretary Karine Jean Pierre when the duo stopped at a photo of Ruth Bader Ginsburg while touring the facilities.

Earlier this month, Grazaidei went viral after he confused Gypsy Rose Blanchard for the late Supreme Court Justice while playing a game called "How Online Are You" in a video for Betches.

When an interviewer showed the tennis pro a photo of Blanchard, he mused, "I do know who this person. Is it Ruth? No? Is Jinsburg? Ginsburg? Something like that.”

“Am I wrong?” he paused as he started to second guess himself. “I know that she had something happen where she went to jail because of her mom.”

Graziadei made one last effort, suggesting, “Ruth Ginsburg. I don’t know what I’m saying.”

In a TikTok posted on Thursday, Pierre asked the reality star to identify Ginsburg after teasing him about being "good with names."

"I'm so sorry," Graziadei said immediately. "It was a bad time. I knew that that wasn't actually her in the photo, Ruth came my head. I know I won't live that one down."

"I know how much of a legend she is and how much she's done for, you know, equal rights and women empowerment," he added.

Ginsburg served on the Supreme Court for 27 years before she died in September 2020 at age 87. As for Blanchard, the convicted murderer was released from prison after serving eight years for her role in her mother Dee Dee Blanchard's murder.

Graziadei, who finished as the runner-up on Charity Lawson’s season of The Bachelorette, is currently on his own journey to find love on The Bachelor.

While speaking to PEOPLE in January, he confessed that while he's excited and hopeful for his journey, he also wants to be realistic.

“My biggest worry is just, truthfully, not making the right decision or finding the right person, or possibly just ending in a way that doesn't end with my forever person,” he admitted. “Truthfully, that's a real fear of mine.”

“[I want] someone that is fun, honest, definitely successful in her own way, just seems like she has a sense of poise,” Graziadei said. “I could list so many characteristics, but I also say a lot that, I just feel like I'll just know, and there's going to be some type of energy or intangible thing that I can't even explain.”

He added: “I just want someone that's really excited to share a life together, and excited about me.”
