Joel McHale's Thanks for the Money trailer is delightfully insane

The delightfully insane book trailer for Joel McHale‘s memoir is here, and EW is excited to premiere the video.

The hilarious book, titled Thanks for the Money: How to Use My Life Story to Become the Best Joel McHale You Can Be is part memoir and part self-help guide. It contains stories from McHale’s career, including Community and The Soup. Here’s where the self-help part comes in: McHale will teach you how to become a celebrity and acquire copious amounts of money.

The trailer has a cheesy, DIY vibe reminiscent of a local commercial where McHale, dressed in a shorts suit, gives fans the hard sell on the book while doing casual activities such as smelling a vine, hitting a tennis ball into a basketball hoop, and slicing watermelons in the air with a sword. At one point McHale prepare his version of cereal and milk: gold coins with champagne.

The audiobook will include voices from celebrity guest stars, including several of McHale’s Community co-stars: Alison Brie, Billy Eichner, Will Forte, Lauren Graham, Jon Hamm, Allison Janney, Ken Jeong, Jimmy Kimmel, Kyle MacLachlan, Danny Pudi, and Jim Rash.
