Joe Pantoliano To Return For Sony’s ‘Bad Boys For Life’ Sequel

EXCLUSIVE: Emmy-winning The Sopranos alum Joe Pantoliano will reprise his role as Captain Howard in Bad Boys for Life, which has stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence returning for the third installment of Sony’s buddy-cop actioner. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are on hand to direct the sequel from a script by Peter Craig (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay 1 & 2, Bad Boys 2, Transformers), Joe Carnahan (A-Team), and Chris Bremmer. Jerry Bruckheimer also is back as producer.

Details on the film’s plot have yet to be revealed. The pic will go before cameras next month and is slated for theatrical release January 17, 2020.

Pantoliano played Captain Howard in 1995’s Bad Boys and Bad Boys II eight years later. He also has appeared in numerous films other film including Risky Business, The Goonies, The Matrix and Memento. His most recent credits are From the Vine Came the Grape, opposite Wendy Crewson and Paula Brancati, and The Brawler with Zach Mcgowan, Amy Smart and Taryn Manning, as well as Just Getting Started starring Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones and Rene Russo.

Pantoliano is repped by APA and Surpin, Mayersohn & Coghill.
