The streaming gods will conjure not one but two Joe Locke showcases this fall.

As previously announced, Netflix’s Heartstopper will drop all eight Season 3 episodes on Thursday, Oct. 3. But just prior to that, as revealed at Disney’s 2024 Upfront presentation, Disney+’s WandaVision spinoff Agatha All Along will debut with a two-episode premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Speaking with TVLine about Agatha All Along at the Disney Upfront, Locke says in the video above, “Disney is so scary about what I can and cannot say.” But he did feel at liberty to share that his character, who by all accounts is named Billy, is “part of the coven, a group of witches” around which the Marvel series revolves.

WandaVision breakout Kathryn Hahn and Broadway icon Patti Lupone lead what Locke says is “a very ensemble piece,” which TVLine was the very first to report has musical elements.

Unlike its sire and other Marvel projects, Agatha All Along won’t be CGI-heavy, Locke shares.

“It’s minimal CGI,” he says. “I was expecting blue screens and green screens, but it was practical, full- built sets.”

The conversation then steers to Heartstopper, and while Locke had little to say on whether the upcoming Season 3 could fittingly end the series, he did confess that “it wasn’t a hard scene to do,” pretending that his Charlie has a celebrity crush on a new Season 3 character played by Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton, Fellow Travelers).

Locke then closed out the Q&A by previewing “the next step” awaiting Heartstopper‘s Charlie and Nick, when Season 3 arrives in October.
