Joe Jonas has reached a temporary custody agreement with Sophie Turner.

And on Wednesday — the day after news of the agreement was made public — the singer, 34, posted a selfie to his Instagram Story featuring a notable message.

“What do you want them to feel?” the Jonas Brother musician wrote across a picture of himself looking into a circular mirror bearing the handwritten words, "I am at the right place at the right time doing the right thing.”

The snap was taken backstage at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee where Joe and his brothers Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas played on Oct. 9 as part of The Jonas Brother's current One Night. Five Albums tour.

In court documents obtained by PEOPLE Tuesday, an interim consent order was laid out for custody of Joe and Turner's two daughters — Delphine, 15 months, and Willa, 3 — for the coming weeks after being "engaged in a productive mediation from Oct. 4-7."

From Oct. 9-21, the children will be with the Game of Thrones alum during which time they are permitted to travel to England and throughout the United States.

Turner or the child's nanny is then to return the girls to the musician, 34, on the 21st, at which point the kids will remain with their dad until Nov. 2. The same travel permissions are extended to Jonas for his time with the children.

Jonas or the nanny will then return the children to Turner on Nov. 2, where they will stay until Nov. 22. The kids then rejoin Jonas from Nov. 22 to Dec. 16 and will seemingly spend the holidays with Turner, in her care from Dec. 16 to Jan. 7.

As for the future, the agreement requires "that the parties shall jointly submit a status report letter" prior to Dec. 23, outlining the status of mediation between the two at that point.

"After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the UK. We look forward to being great co-parents," the former couple said in a statement released to PEOPLE, Tuesday.

On Sept. 5, the musician filed for a dissolution of marriage from the actress four years after they wed. The filing claimed that "the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken,” and noted that the couple have a prenup in place.
