Joe Jonas Reportedly Gave Off Clues That His Sophie Turner Relationship Wasn't Going So Well Months Before Divorce

Joe Jonas’ divorce from Sophie Turner may have happened quickly for many of their fans, but the couple’s inner circle is now revealing that there were signs of trouble months ahead of their announcement. Their friends noticed how distant Jonas was acting anytime the subject of his wife and family came up.

A pal described to Page Six a situation where Jonas was acting “incredibly checked out and detached.” “Joe seemed very sensitive, almost touchy, when asked anything about his wife or family-related, so I’m guessing things were on the rocks with them before that,” they revealed about the April incident. It seems that the marriage didn’t suddenly just fall apart, there was a gradual breakdown in their relationship that they could not fix.

The former duo has asked people to stop with the “speculative narratives as to why” they made the decision to divorce because they are a “united” front when it comes to their two daughters. While Jonas’ sources blamed Turner’s partying ways as a huge issue for him, Turner’s friends claimed that he was “less than supportive” after the birth of their second child in July 2022. The sexist anti-Turner narrative was called out on social media because many fans believed Jonas was trying to make himself look good for their eventual child custody case.

Turner has kept relatively quiet since the news broke, but Jonas broke his silence at a concert in Los Angeles over the weekend. “It’s been a crazy week,” he shared with the crowd. “I just wanna say, look — if you don’t hear it from these lips, don’t believe it, OK?” Perhaps Jonas should button up his team, who readily and freely talked to the press once the divorce announcement hit the headlines. The former duo need the time and space to work things out behind closed doors without the tabloids having a say in what ultimately ended their marriage.
