Joe Flacco and his wife, Dana Flacco, met when they were kids.

Both were raised in Audubon, New Jersey, where they first crossed paths in high school. Joe and Dana dated through college before getting married in 2011. Since saying “I do,” they’ve welcomed five children: sons Stephen, Daniel, Francis and Thomas, and a daughter named Evelyn.

Through his career as an NFL quarterback, Joe has moved his family from Baltimore to Denver to New York. In December 2023, Dana made the Cleveland Brown's active roster, and is currently headed to the playoffs for Super Wild Card Weekend. Joe said the best part of this achievement was being able to relish the moment with Dana and their kids.

“I can’t say it enough, to have children that are of the age where they understand what’s going on means I’m going to remember these things forever,” he said during a December 2023 post-game conference.

The football player has also opened up about how fatherhood affected his relationship with Dana.

“It’s definitely changed how I spend time in the off-season. Me and my wife look at each other and wonder what we did before we had them, because you’re just wrapped up in those guys,” Joe said in a promotional video for the Baltimore Ravens. “It’s been a lot of fun.”

So who is Joe Flacco’s wife? Here’s everything to know about Dana Flacco and her relationship with the quarterback.

Dana’s love story with the pro footballer dates back to their childhood.

The pair met while attending the same high school in their hometown of Audubon, New Jersey. They dated through college before eventually walking down the aisle and saying “I do” on June 25, 2011.

After their 2011 nuptials, Joe and Dana took their wedding party around their hometown on a trolley to take photos in meaningful places, including where they first met.

Dana and Joe have their hands full. Their family of seven consists of five kids: four sons and one daughter. Their two oldest sons are just 15 months apart — they welcomed their firstborn, Stephen, in June 2012, and their second son, Daniel, in September 2013, seven months after Joe won the Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens.

They welcomed another son named Francis in January 2015. After having three sons, Dana found out she was expecting a baby girl, whom she gave birth to in September 2016. Evelyn became a big sister in April 2018, when the couple welcomed their youngest son Thomas.

Despite all the moving around in Joe's career, he and his wife have worked together to give stability and fun to their family.

“They [the kids] are a really cool age, they want to hang out, they want to throw the ball around. My son brought a ball to the hotel,” Joe said in a 2023 press conference. “There’s definitely things like that that you miss. But, listen, there’s no better profession than the NFL to spend time with your kids and have them be a part of it.”

Joe’s career has taken his family all over the country. In December 2023, when he was promoted to the Browns’ active roster, the family moved for the fourth time since his pro debut in 2008.

The football player was a first-round pick for the Baltimore Ravens in the 2008 NFL draft. He was then traded to the Denver Broncos in 2019, however, he was only with them for a year before going to the New York Jets. Joe spent two seasons there, before signing with the Browns in 2023.

From award shows to sitting front row at New York Fashion Week to a Super Bowl championship, Dana has been right by Joe’s side throughout his over 15-year career in the NFL.

The pair made their red carpet debut at the 2013 ESPY Awards, where Joe was nominated for best championship performance. That same year they attended a runway show for Tommy Hilfiger’s Fall 2013 men's collection.

Dana doesn’t shy away from giving her husband constructive feedback when it comes to his work on the field.

During his time with the Ravens, Joe was occasionally doubling as both the team’s quarterback and wide receiver. The NFL star wasn't particularly interested in the latter position, and according to Dana, it showed.

"My wife gave me crap the one day, told me I need to look more interested out there," Joe joked during a 2018 press conference, per ESPN.
