Baby Announcement!

As The Blast reported, the "Counting On" duo announced they were expecting baby #2 in April. At the time, their son was only 10 months old. Posting the adorable announcement on social media, they posed with Garrett who was on daddy's shoulders. Kendra stood next to them while smiling sweetly and holding onto a gold balloon that read "baby." They captioned the family shot, "We have some exciting news!!!" Weeks later, the couple revealed the baby's gender. "We are so excited to announce the gender of baby number #2....It’s a GIRL!" Dressing their son in a blue shirt with the number one on it, Kendra held up a matching pink shirt with the number 2 across it. "We are so thrilled to welcome our sweet baby girl this November!" they added.

The Funeral Pic:

The news of their daughter's birth comes at an interesting time as Joe Duggar's sister Jill Duggar caught heat after sharing a photo of a deceased child's casket. The reality star was attending a funeral and snapped a shot showcasing the closed casket with a bouquet of yellow and white flowers and a butterfly resting on top of them. "Today has been a really hard day as I watched a couple do what no one should ever have to do...bury their little baby," she captioned the picture.

"Although our hearts break here on earth, we look forward to the day when we will see Jesus face to face, he will wipe every tear from our eyes and we will be reunited with those we miss so much," she added. Jill Duggar continued by stating, “Until our race on earth is over, let us live intentionally, glorify God through our lives, serve Him well, fulfilling His purpose for our us until we draw our last breath." She also shared the lyrics from the Christian Hymn, “Safe In The Arms Of Jesus.”

Controversy:

Fans were up in arms with many labeling the post "inappropriate" and several asking if the deceased child's parents were aware that she shared the photo. “Does the couple in mourning know you posted this?” a follower asked. “It seems pretty personal and I know I'd be upset if someone posted it without my knowledge if I was the mother involved.” Another person mirrored their concern and wrote, “Hopefully she got permission to post this. With the Duggar’s being in the spotlight & has more than the average person viewing their profiles, it’s certainly not appropriate to post stuff like this unless given permission.”

A third follower labeled her post "tacky" and wrote, "Not everything has to be an Instagram post, even with the purest intentions. This is insanely tacky of you to post.” Another follower responded, “Regardless who it is, posting a picture of a coffin and posting it on social media is just tacky and disgusting."
