Joe Biden on Miss Teen USA Contestants’ Allegations About Trump

On Wednesday’s Late Night With Seth Meyers, Vice President Joe Biden addressed Donald Trump’s leaked taped from a 2005 Access Hollywood appearance in which he made lewd comments and mentioned that he had groped women without their consent.

The New York Post reported on Oct. 12 that contestants from Miss Teen USA alleged Trump walked in on the teenage contestants while they were changing. Biden said, “I mean, this is absolutely outrageous behavior.”

As for the Access Hollywood tape, Biden said, “What I found astounding is that he would so publicly … acknowledge that he engaged in the textbook definition of sexual assault.”

As a senator, Vice President Biden introduced the Violence Against Women Act in an effort to end abuse toward women. He said that Trump’s comments and the allegations about his past behavior are symptoms of a much larger problem. “I’ve spent most of my career trying to figure out how to begin to change the culture in this country so that we treat women with respect and with dignity,” Biden said.

Late Night airs weeknights at 12:35 a.m. on NBC.
