Jodie Turner-Smith Files For Divorce From Joshua Jackson

Queen & Slim actress Jodie Turner-Smith has reportedly filed for divorce from Dawson’s Creek star, Joshua Jackson, according to PEOPLE. The couple married in 2019 and welcomed a child a year later.
Reportedly, the pair is divorcing due to “irreconcilable differences.” As part of Turner-Smith’s requests, she’s also asked a Los Angeles Court to grant her and Jackson shared custody of their toddler daughter.
Both stars met at Usher’s 40th birthday party in 2018, according to the magazine. Upon the pair tying the knot a year later, Turner-Smith spoke of her and Jackson’s similarities and support for one another to the outlet.
“I think it’s really beautiful to be with someone who is so supportive and so loving,” she said at the time. “We’re so similar in so many ways. We’re like mirrors for each other. And I just really love that human being.”
While visiting Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2021, she recalled, “When I first met my husband, we had a one-night stand. We’re in a two, three-year one-night stand now.”
Additionally, Jackson admitted to host Andy Cohen during Watch What Happens Live in May, that he knew the 37-year-old was “the one” when he first saw her.
Just last year, Turner-Smith told Forbes that she married her husband because of “how loved and supported I felt by him.” She went on, “I had never been with anyone who I thought was wanting to lift me up the way that I felt that he was lifting me up.”
The actress and actor both have impressive résumés. Turner-Smith alone has appeared in the TV shows True Blood, The Last Ship, Sex Education and the forthcoming series Star Wars: The Acolyte, as well as films Queen & Slim, White Noise, Murder Mystery 2 and more.
Jackson has starred in many TV shows, including Dawson’s Creek, When They See Us, The Affair, Fatal Attraction and more. He’s also appeared in films The Mighty Ducks, Scream 2, Urban Legend, Cruel Intentions, Ocean’s Eleven, Americano and more.
