Austin Butler and Jodie Comer will wave the green flag as honorary starters for the 2024 Indy 500, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced Tuesday.

The two co-star in "The Bikeriders," a film written and directed by Jeff Nichols and partly filmed in Cincinnati. Based off the book by Danny Lyon, the film, set to be released in theaters June 21, tells the story of the Vandals, a fictional Midwestern motorcycle club, and the relationship between new member Benny (Butler) and his wife, Kathy (Comer). As the Vandals become increasingly violent, Benny finds himself having to choose between Kathy and his club.

Among the Greater Cincinnati locations in the film's trailer are the Purple People Bridge, Edgewater Motor Sports Park and the Pepper Pod Restaurant in Newport.
