The Magnolia Network founder and HGTV alum started her brand alongside husband Chip Gaines in October 2003
Joanna and Chip Gaines are celebrating a major milestone — their beloved lifestyle brand, Magnolia, is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Joanna, 45, took to Instagram with two heartfelt posts that commemorated the occasion. She started Magnolia alongside Chip, 48, in 2003.
“Here's to 20 years of Magnolia ✨Back in 2003, we could have never dreamed of any of this. Grateful for the wonderful memories, the mistakes and mishaps, and all the miracles along the way. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. ❤️.”
The first post included a series of photos from a party the couple threw in celebration of the company's birthday at their Magnolia Market at the Silos shopping and dining destination in their hometown of Waco, Texas. The first photo in the post was snapped in the front of the iconic silos, with string lights and fireworks exploding in the background.
Another photo shows Chip and Joanna standing on stage and raising a glass to toast with their guests.
And the final snap shows the couple posing on a balcony, standing above the crowds, with Joanna kissing Chip’s cheek.
The second post Joanna shared included a number of throwback photos from “early years” of Magnolia, including Jo's old store and the couple, who recently celebrated their 20th anniversary, when they were newlyweds.
The couple's company came from humble beginnings.
Since then, the couple has built a Magnolia empire with their own TV network, lines at Target, as well as a store, restaurant, and soon-to-open hotel in Waco. Joanna has also released her own cookbook as well as a line of paints, among many more projects.
