"He took his kissing very seriously," Collins said of her costar on the ABC show, which ran from 1981 to 1989

Joan Collins is unsealing her lips about a Dynasty costar who was a little too enthusiastic in romance scenes.

The 90-year-old actress name-checked late actor Michael Nader during her Behind The Shoulder Pads tour stop in Bath, England, on Thursday, claiming he once kissed her so forcefully blood was drawn.

“He took his kissing very seriously,” said Collins of Nader, who played her character Alexis Carrington Colby’s third husband Dex Dexter. “And he kissed me so hard one day he bit my lip. I said, 'It’s blood!’ and he said, ‘It’s just lipstick,’ but I had blood running down my chin!”

The Golden Globe winner’s revelation came as the audience at her show was asked to vote for their favorite on-screen kiss of hers, with Nader beating out competition from legendary actors including Gene Kelly and Bing Crosby.

Both Collins and Nader stayed with the show until its finale in 1989, with Collins playing Alexis for eight of the ABC show’s nine seasons.

Collins also later appeared in the 1991 miniseries Dynasty: The Reunion, but Collins turned down a role in the Dynasty spinoff The Colbys.

“I refused to be in The Colbys because I thought it was ruining Dynasty, and it was. People were so confused,” she explained.

The Colbys ran for two seasons from 1985 to 1987 and revolved around the wealthy Colby family, with Charlton Heston, Stephanie Beacham and Barbara Stanwyck all reprising their roles from Dynasty.

Nader also didn’t appear in The Colbys or reprise his role in Dynasty: The Reunion.

The All My Children star died at age 76 in August 2021 after being diagnosed with an untreatable form of cancer, PEOPLE reported at the time.

Paying tribute to Nader following his death, Collins told the Daily Mail that she was “sad” to hear about his passing.

“I really liked Michael. He was amusing and we had an easy off-set relationship,” she recalled of their time working together.

“He was married and I was married but that didn’t stop some of the cast and crew teasing us that our relationship was more than friendship,” she continued. “But while it was purely platonic, on set it sizzled! I loved our scenes in the bath together where I would be covered in soapsuds to hide the bare necessities.”
