Arguably the biggest star to serve, Stewart was an A-lister before the war thanks to ‘Mr. Smith Goes To Washington’ and ‘The Philadelphia Story,’ but nevertheless followed in the footsteps of his WWI veteran father, enlisting even before Pearl Harbor. He became the commander of the 445th Bomb Group, flying at least twenty combat missions and rising from private to colonel in only four years.
Allen: How does this person even have any time what so ever to sit in congress and represent the people who elected her to represent them? Wouldn't her constituents look and see that she is not in congress to represent them but to make waves in our whole country to move towards socialism? After all, she takes credit for causing a major employer to cancel plans to build a multi billion dollar facility in her district that would employ some 25,000 people? Or, is it that 90% of the people in her district are on federal assistance and don't want the availability of high paying jobs.
