Jimmy Kimmel tears into Fox & Friends' Brian Kilmeade: 'You phony little creep'

A seething Jimmy Kimmel ripped into not only Senator Bill Cassidy, but also "Fox & Friends" co-host Brian Kilmeade on Wednesday for trivializing and mocking his health care monologue.

On Tuesday's show, Kimmel took to task Cassidy, who appeared on the program earlier in the year and assured the late-night host that his health care bill would provide certain base protections. By most impartial accounts, the bill does not do so -- but Cassidy told reporters that Kimmel just "does not understand" the legislation.

But Kimmel was perhaps even more irritated with Kilmeade, who on "Fox & Friends" called Kimmel a Hollywood elitist just trying to push his political agenda.

“The reason I found this comment to be particularly annoying is because this is a guy who, whenever I see him, kisses my a--,” Kimmel said. “Oh, he’s such a fan … He follows me on Twitter; he asked me to write a blurb for his book, which I did; he calls my agent looking for projects. He’s dying to be a member of the Hollywood elite. The only reason he’s not a member of the Hollywood elite is because nobody will hire him to be one. And you know, the reason I’m talking about this is because my son had an open-heart surgery, then has to have two more, and because of that I learned that there are kids with no insurance in the same situation. I don’t get anything out of this, Brian, you phony little creep.”

Kimmel also responded to Cassidy's assertion that he doesn't appropriately comprehend the bill. "Oh, I get it. I don’t understand because I’m a talk show host, right?" he said. He then listed more than a dozen major health care organizations that "vehemently oppose the bill."
