Jimmy Kimmel Screens Deleted 'Batman v Superman' Scene

Although the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel are the marquee stars of the upcoming DC Comics blockbuster, Batman v Superman, the movie is also expected to feature cameos from such costumed avengers as Wonder Woman, Aquaman and The Flash. But there’s one hero who won’t be part of DC’s expanding cinematic universe: Jimmy Kimmel a.k.a. the Late Night Joker. (Not to be confused with this Joker.) The comedian and guest Ben “Batman” Affleck gave audiences an exclusive peek at his since-deleted scene on a post-Oscar edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

As Affleck’s Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent have their fateful first meeting out of costume, Kimmel passes by the glowering duo and totally blows their secret identities. Not taking a hint, Kimmel continues his reign of error, cluing Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor into Kent’s Kryptonian heritage and crossing universes by introducing live action Batman to Will Arnett’s much-loved Lego Batman. For these crimes, he was totally tossed into outer space, where he wound up sharing Mars with stranded nemesis, Matt Damon. Forget Batman v Superman: the movie we want to see is Jimmy v Matt.

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:30 p.m. on ABC
