Jimmy Kimmel drags Bradley Cooper for bringing his mom to everything during Oscars 2024: Are they ‘actually dating’?

Oscars 2024host Jimmy Kimmel poked fun at Bradley Cooper, 49, Sunday night at the awards ceremony for bringing his mom, Gloria Campano, as his date for the evening.

“Hi, Mrs. Cooper. How are you?” Kimmel addressed Gloria from the stage during his opening monologue.

“Bradley brings his mother to every award show,” he went on. “Last year at the Oscars, and the Tonys, and the Soul Train Awards.”

Kimmel continued, “It’s very sweet but I guess the question is, how many times can one bring his mom as his date before he is actually dating his mom?”

“Are you working on a movie about Freud right now and not telling us?” Kimmel added, referring to psychoanalysis founder Sigmund Freud, who both loved and feared his mother.

Freud also coined the term Oedipus Complex, which refers to when a boy develops an unconscious infatuation with his mother and sense of romantic rivalry with his father.

The mother-son duo also appeared in their second Super Bowl ad with T-Mobile this year.

The “Maestro” nominee spoke to Interview Magazine in August 2020 about caring for his aging mother as well as his daughter Lea, whom he shares with his ex-partner, Irina Shayk.

“I’m with my daughter and my mother and my two dogs, and we have not left the house,” he shared at the time. “My mother is going to be 80, and she has a colostomy bag, so I can’t let anybody in the house. And I can’t leave the house, because if she gets it, it’s over.”

Cooper has an abundance of love in his life. Since early October 2023, he’s been rumored to be dating model Hadid, 28. They were most recently spotted on Tuesday in New York City, meeting friends for breakfast.

Cooper wasn’t Kimmel’s only monologue victim. The late-night host also teased “Oppenheimer” nominee Robert Downy Jr. about his former drug problem.
