Jimmy Fallon’s Impression ‘Trumped’ by 8th Grader

On Wednesday’s The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon did his signature impression of Donald Trump, but he was one-upped by Jack Aiello, an 8th grader. Aiello recently gained attention for a video that went viral in which he did spot-on impressions of the presidential candidates for his middle school graduation ceremony.

Jimmy Fallon showcased Aiello’s impression skills in a sketch that featured Aiello as Donald Trump’s clone, Trump’s perfect running mate. The two exchanged Trump impressions that were so similar that they said, “We think exactly alike. In fact, when even finish each other's” … “Walls.”

Aiello went on to do his impression of Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders. Later in the show, Fallon interviewed the young impressionist about his video performance going viral. To Aiello’s amazement, he said, one of his subjects tweeted about him. Fallon explained, “Ted Cruz actually tweeted. ‘Okay, this kid is funny. Nicely done and congrats on graduating.’ That was nice of Ted Cruz to do that.” Fallon then asked Aiello to read the tweet as Ted Cruz, and the young comedian was more than willing to do one more impression.

The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
