Jim Gaffigan to return to Sioux Falls this September for his 2024 BARELY ALIVE TOUR

The Denny Sanford PREMIER Center is set to host comedian Jim Gaffigan on Sept. 14, according to the announcement of his 2024 BARELY ALIVE TOUR’s new dates.

Gaffigan, a seven-time Grammy nominated comedian, is known for his signature unique brand of humor, which borrows from observations of life around him, read a news release about the tour. In addition to being a comedian, he is also a recording artist, writer who was twice declared best-selling author by The New York Times, actor, producer and three-time Emmy winner.

Listed as one of the top 10 comedians in both Forbes’ 2019 comedy list and Pollstar’s 2022 list, the latest feather in his cap was his 10th comedy special released on Amazon Prime Video called “Dark Pale.” Declared as his “best yet” by The New York Times, this special comes after three years since his comedy special on Netflix in 2021 called “Comedy Monster,” for which he received a Grammy nomination.

Gaffigan is known for his regular commentaries on runs of CBS Sunday Morning, for which he has won three Emmy awards. He is also the face of the critically acclaimed semi-autobiographical program called “The Jim Gaffigan Show.” The show was written and produced by him with his wife Jeannie, with whom he lives in Manhattan, New York.

Gaffigan’s acting journey has seen him in a list of well-known roles. Currently, he is known as the lead in “Linoleum,” a Sci-Fi dramedy, as well as Mr. Smee in Disney’s "Peter Pan and Wendy," according to the release. He will also be starring in Netflix’s “Unfrosted” along with Jerry Seinfeld, Melissa McCarthy, James Marsden and High Grant.

So far, 2019 has been Gaffigan’s biggest year, with eight movie releases, three of which premiered at the Sundance Festival, where he was called the “King of Sundance,” read the release.

Tickets for his 2024 BARELY ALIVE TOUR went on sale Friday.
