Jim Carrey Takes on School Shootings in Latest Artwork

Jim Carrey put his artistic talents to use to tackle gun manufacturers and the rash of school shootings with his latest work on Monday, offering a somber view on the topic.

The work, posted to Carrey’s Twitter account on Monday — days after the nation’s latest school shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas — offered his thoughts on the topic, both in picture and text.

“New Pledge for a Generation Betrayed,” Carrey wrote of the art, which depicted a classroom with rows of empty desks and windows riddled with bullet holes.

On Friday, a gunman opened fire at Santa Fey High School in Texas, ultimately leaving 10 people dead, CNN reported.

The suspect has been identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis, 17, who allegedly used a shotgun and a .38 caliber revolver to carry out the shooting.
