Jill Duggar Announces Stillbirth at 4 Months Pregnant

Former Counting On star Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, shared heartbreaking news with their social media followers: the stillbirth of a baby girl.

On Saturday, April 13, Jill and Derick—who share three sons, Israel, 9, Samuel, 6, and Freddy, 21 months—took to Instagram with a joint message. "💔It is with heavy hearts that we announce the stillbirth of our beautiful baby girl, Isla Marie Dillard," they wrote alongside a photo of themselves holding a tiny bundle.

The TLC stars explained that Jill was four months pregnant when they learned their baby died in utero. Her due date was in August.

"From the moment we found out we were pregnant, we couldn’t wait to meet our baby," the bereaved parents continued. "Isla was much loved from the start, and her 3 big brothers were so excited to introduce her to their world."

Jill and Derrick concluded: "We appreciate your prayers as we continue to grieve and heal from the loss of our little Isla Marie. 😭🩷"

In the comments, friends, family and followers expressed their condolences. Jill's sister, Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo wrote, "Love you so much, sis. Continuing to uphold you all in prayer. Sweet little Isla will be missed. 💔"

Meanwhile, Jill's cousin, Amy (Duggar) King, shared, "Isla Marie such a beautiful name and meaning. Praying continuously.. God has a plan through all the heartbreak. You’ve been on my mind and in our prayers and will continue to be. 💕 We love y’all so much."

Yet another Instagram user wrote, "Oh my gosh. My hearts are with you and that sweet babe 🩷."

Before Jill and Derrick shared the tragic news, they did not announce that Jill was pregnant. Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.
