Jigra Actor Alia Bhatt Wraps Up Upcoming Movie With Vedang Raina

Bollywood sensation Alia Bhatt has finally completed the shoot for her much-anticipated action film, Jigra. The actor took to social media to share glimpses from the movie’s sets, giving fans a sneak peek into the world of Jigra. Notably, her co-star Vedang Raina, also joined in the celebration of wrapping up the film.

Jigra’s Alia Bhatt announces wrap with Vedang Raina

Alia Bhatt, known for her versatile roles, marks her entry into the action genre with Jigra. The actor, through her Instagram post, shared the joy of finishing the shoot, expressing gratitude and excitement for the upcoming release.

In her caption accompanying the images, she wrote, “Jigra oh… abki teri baari ho. @vedangraina & that’s a film wrap on #JIGRA @vasanbala @swapsagram. See you soon… 27th September 2024 at a cinema near you.”

Vedang Raina, who made his Bollywood debut in Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix film Archies last year, also posted the same, capturing g the essence of the film’s journey. He shared, “And that’s a wrap on Jigra @aliaabhatt. A film and a character that has given me as much as taken away from me. A journey that’s meant everything. See you at the movies on 27th September.”

The makers of Jigra initially announced the project in September last year through a unique teaser video. The storyline, as revealed in the teaser, promises a gripping narrative centered around a sister’s unwavering efforts to protect her brother at any cost.

Based on the same, Vedang Raina is speculated to play the brother of Alia Bhatt’s character in Jigra. Moreover, Alia Bhatt is not just the lead actor but also a producer through her production company, Eternal Sunshine. Additionally, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra also serve as producers.

Jigra, penned by Debashish Irengbam, will also feature lyrics by the All India Rank’s director Varun Grover.

Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s Jigra will be released on September 27, 2024.
