Jewel’s Blushing Response to Kevin Costner Dating Rumors Has Us Buzzing More Than Ever
Ever since they were caught flirting late last year, Jewel and Kevin Costner‘s rumored relationship has had fans in a frenzy. After all, in addition to finalizing his divorce with Christine Baumgartner months earlier, Costner seems to be already quite smitten with the singer-songwriter.
In a new interview, however, Jewel kept her thoughts on her romance with Costner to a minimum. “He’s a great person,” she told Elle of the Dances With Wolves star. Jewel, who was reportedly blushing when she said that, also added that “the public fascination is intense for sure.”

So while the singer didn’t divulge much on their budding relationship, she definitely gave a little taste of their connection.
Earlier in the story, Jewel only other mention of a “partner” was surrounding her life philosophy. “Each of us navigate these three spheres every day, often without knowing it,” she explained. “There’s your inner world, the seen sphere—the outer world—and then there’s the unseen world, which is just anything that gives you a sense of awe or wonder.”
“I think mental health is a result of our three spheres being in alignment,” she continued. “So if my job is also my passion, or if I think my partner knows my secret self, or if I find a way to act on my spiritual practice in the real world, I’m much happier.”
So while we don’t know if Jewel and Costner are in alignment on that philosophical and spiritual sense, it’s safe to say she’s not afraid to speak of the actor, even if just a little bit.
Last month, sources indicated how Jewel has made Costner happier since his recent divorce. “As difficult as Kevin’s divorce was, it hasn’t robbed Kevin of his positive outlook,” an insider shared with Closer magazine at the time. “He’s back to doing the work he loves, and Jewel has been a beautiful surprise.”
“He wasn’t expecting to find someone so soon,” the source added. “Christine was all about having the best of everything, but Jewel isn’t into fancy clothes or jewelry.” Could this be another Hollywood perfect match?
