Jester Awards recognize high school theatrical productions

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – High school kids from all over the state were at Century II Sunday for the Jester Awards.

The event was a chance to celebrate excellence and get some recognition for their work in theater.

Open Streets ICT celebrates Cinco de Mayo

For attending students, it was more than just a simple award.

“It means a lot to these kids. They love it. They work very hard, they’re very dedicated. They’re very talented. And I think it’s great that they get to come here and have it pay off like this for them,” said Garden City High School Theater Assistant Director Mark Van Savage.

KSN Anchors Eddie Randle and Julia Thatcher emceed the event.
