Jessie Graff Makes History, Continues to Dominate ‘American Ninja Warrior’

In a competition that is almost entirely composed of men, Jessie Graff has solidified her presence of authority on American Ninja Warrior. Just to be clear, the stuntwoman from Calabasas, Calif., isn’t just hanging with the guys in the competition — she’s beating most of them.

Graff became the first woman ever to advance beyond Stage 1 of the national finals. She made it to Stage 1 last year but could not make it up the Warped Wall obstacle. So during the off-season she focused on developing her leg strength, and it paid off, as she seemed to be completely in control throughout her run.

She’s drawn international fame because of her performance. It also doesn’t hurt that she is a statuesque blonde who typically dresses like Wonder Woman (this time she went with Green Lantern). But it takes a lot more than looks to get as far as she has.

Graff was only one of a handful of competitors to even complete the course and finished fourth. She has looked unstoppable throughout the 2016 season, and at this point her potential appears limitless.

American Ninja Warrior airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
