Jessie Altman, 3-star defensive line prospect from Alabama, arrested on murder charges

Jessie Altman, a standout defensive tackle prospect at Etowah (Ala.) High, was one of three teenagers arrested on Wednesday and charged with capital murder.

The Gadsden Times reports that Altman is one of five young men charged in connection with the killing of Aaron “A.J.” Huff, who was shot in his car on January 4 after what police have described as an altercation with one of other the teenagers charged in his killing.

The 17-year-old Altman is a junior, listed at 6-foot-1, 285 pounds. Rivals rates him as a three-star prospect and the 22nd ranked player among Class of 2019 players from Alabama, and the 40th ranked defensive tackle in the country.

He had received interest from a number of high-profile programs, such as Alabama, Florida State, South Carolina and Oregon.
