Jessica Simpson Shares Sweet Selfie with Lookalike Daughter Maxwell: 'Choose to Be Kind Today'

The singer shares her three kids with husband Eric Johnson

Jessica Simpson has a mini-me.

On Thursday, the singer, 43, shared a photo on Instagram of her and her daughter Maxwell, 11, as they pose together for a mother-daughter selfie.

Both are fresh-faced for the shot and look directly into the camera as they press their faces together, showing how much Maxwell is starting to look like her mother.

"Choose to be kind today because you never know how much someone might need it 💚💚💚," Simpson wrote in the caption.

In addition to Maxwell, Simpson shares daughter Birdie Mae, 4, and son Ace, 9, with her husband of nine years, Eric Johnson.

In August, the mom of three shared photos on Instagram of her posing with Maxwell before the pair attended PetSafe’s Unleashed event together in Los Angeles, California.

“Bring your Barbie to work day 💗,” Simpson wrote in the post's caption while wearing a bold pink mini-dress that Barbie herself would be proud of.

In the first photo, the singer stood under an indoor arch next to Maxwell, who wore a denim crop top and maxi skirt with chunky black platform boots. The mom and daughter duo chose to pose in front of a spiral staircase and appeared ready to leave, as both held onto large handbags.

Next, Simpson and her oldest daughter poked their tongues out in a playful selfie as they stood together in front of a vanity mirror. While the singer's long blond locks were styled in a half ponytail with loose curls at the front, her daughter wore her hair — which reached almost to her waist — down with just a hint of beachy wave.

A following snap showed Simpson showing off her Barbie-inspired look solo — as well as the fun pink dress, bouffant hairdo, white sunglasses and a large pink Fendi handbag. The mom of three also wore gold-heeled sandals and accessorized with stacks of embellished bangles and necklaces.

Simpson has also admitted that she has to check her closet periodically because her two daughters like to steal clothes from their famous mother's closet.

"I have to do a weekly girls closet inventory to check for missing items! They even know my hiding spots somehow,” the multi-hyphenate recently told PEOPLE while chatting about her new Jessica Simpson Collection drop.

And because the star often finds herself searching for her favorite pieces — whether that be a hoodie, a pair of socks or her hoop earrings — borrowed by her mini-mes, she admitted that she’s considered “having one closet for all three of us ladies.”
