Jessica Simpson is sharing the first photo of her youngest daughter since revealing her entire family was wiped out for 10 days with the flu last week. The billionaire businesswoman posted a sweet snap of Birdie May, who is 8 months old, on her Instagram Wednesday. The 39-year-old fashion mogul is seen holding up her tiny tot and it seems like Birdie May is ready to take off! While Simpson hasn't shared her daughter's first steps, if they haven't happened yet, they are clearly just around the corner!
Like Mother, Like Daughter!
Simpson appears makeup-free in the photo and wearing an oversized sweatshirt and her lounge slippers with her blonde hair freely flowing. As for Birdie May, she's following in her fashion icon mom's footsteps. She's wearing a bold leopard headband with an oversized bow. Simpson's daughter is in a blush-colored onesie and matching leopard high tops on her feet. Joking that "My 3 kiddos are all gonna be taller than me by the time they are 10 years old," Simpson hashtagged the photo "#shortmomproblems #BIRDIEMAE." She also shared another snap with her youngest child on her Instagram story and stated, "Couldn't post just one."
This is an amazing transformation from last week when the former singer was down and out with her and husband Eric Johnson's oldest kid, daughter Maxwell Drew, 7. Sympathy poured in from fans and famous moms after Simpson shared a picture with their child in the midst of their 10-day flu. In the snap, Simpson was wearing her leopard pajamas and napping on the couch with Maxwell. "It was a challenging 10 days for the family. Lots of puke, scary high fevers, coughing, and a concussion to top it all off. Maxi and Ace are resilient troopers," she told fans. "Now we need some sleep 😴🙏🏼 Eric and I are so relieved they are happy and healthy now. "
Famous mamas like January Jones and celebrity party planner Mindy Weiss immediately sent well wishes her way. "Oh no!! Sorry for you guys! ❤️" Jones wrote. "Hope everyone is on the mend," replied Weiss. Fans were also concerned for Simpson and her family of five. "Mom life!! That is the worst. Glad everyone is feeling better xoxo," stated one fan. "I hope y’all are feeling better soon 🙏🏻 i hate it when my kids get sick," commented another fans. Others blamed the Johnson flu epidemic on the Mercury Retrograde.
It's great to see Jessica Simpson feeling so much better. This past year has been rough on the entertainer's health. While she was pregnant with Birdie May, Simpson revealed she had been suffering from “months of sciatica pain." The entrepreneur also experienced three weeks of bronchitis while pregnant, as well as gnarly ankle swelling. After giving birth to her healthy baby in March, Jessica Simpson jumped right back into her fitness routine and shed 100 pounds only 6 months later! She emerged looking better than ever and revealed her unbelievable results on social media. Proudly telling fans about the weight loss, she made sure to let them know it wasn't easy dropping all those pounds. "6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240)," Simpson wrote. She also said that she finally felt back to her old self. "My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder."
