Jessica Biel Shares a Look Inside 'What Really Happens on Met Monday' After Viral Epsom Salt Bath

The actress had to sneak and eat a salad while her glam squad hurried to make sure she was dressed

Jessica Biel is sharing her secrets on how she prepared for the 2024 Met Gala!

Following fashion’s biggest night, the actress, 42, posted behind-the-scenes content to show fans what's behind the glitz and glam for the annual event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

“Hey you guys,” she said while taking a bite of food in a selfie clip shared to TikTok on Wednesday, May 8. “I’m supposed to be getting dressed for the Met, but I had to eat something.”

She was “hiding in the corner of my room” as members of her glam squad frantically attempted to make sure she was dressed and on time, Biel explained.

“Everybody’s like, knocking on the door, ‘You gotta get dressed!’” Biel said before taking a break to chew her rushed meal.

“I’m just trying to tell you, snack first, eat first!” she continued.

The Candy alum then turned the camera away from herself to show off her hotel room where her pink floral gown and arm cover could be seen hanging up near a window and laid across her bed.

“What REALLY happens on Met Monday 👀,” was the caption to her TikTok.

“Yum! Okay, I’m gonna get dressed now,” Biel said before ending her video.

The day before, on Tuesday, May 7, the actress went viral for another TikTok video in which she revealed that she bathed in 20 lbs. of Epsom salt for 30 minutes in hot water to slip into her Met Gala gown.

"For real," she said in the clip as she showed herself pouring the salt into the bathtub.

The theme for the 2024 Met Gala was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” and the dress code was “The Garden of Time.”

It was Biel’s first time attending the gala in just over a decade.

She wore a black Giambattista Valli macramé and tulle gown with matching pants plus patent leather pumps when she walked the carpet in 2013. The theme that year was “PUNK: Chaos to Couture.”

The year prior, she went with her then-fiancé Justin Timberlake. The couple got married in Italy five months later in October 2012. Biel and Timberlake share two sons, Phineas, 3½, and Silas, 8½.

Timberlake, 43, is currently on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour after a five-year hiatus.
