Jessica Biel #Scrabblebrags That She Beat ‘Undefeated’ Justin Timberlake During Board Game Date Night

We’re not sure Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s date nights ever involved dancing on bars at 4 a.m., but if so, those days have long passed. Today, ideal couple time for the parents of 18-month-old Silas includes a glass of wine and a good game of Scrabble.

The 7th Heaven alum, 34, gleefully touted her big victory against her “Can’t Stop the Feeling” singer husband, with whom she will celebrate her fourth wedding anniversary on Oct. 19. She shared a photo of their face-off on Instagram, noting that the word “sardine” led her to finally besting her “undefeated” hubby. Biel used the hashtag #scrabblebrag.

I played 'sardine' and got the 50 bonus points! Guess who is no longer undefeated… #scrabblebrag

We’re not sure where they were when they went head-to-head — over wine — with a cityscape in the background, but home base lately has been a rental home on quaint Sullivan’s Island, S.C., as Biel has been shooting the TV movie The Sinner in the Charleston area. There have been local sightings of the couple, who have been staying in a stunning Gothic-style rental with 360-degree views of the city, at restaurants (like The Obstinate Daughter and GoGoGreens) as well as the beach and the park.

Biel, who is very social with the locals, Yahoo has learned, was just trying to blend in with other moms as she pushed Silas on a swing at a local playground. Timberlake, who has been traveling back and forth while promoting Trolls, has been spotted enjoying time with his fam and taking walks along the beach in the beautiful community, but was described as being more “quiet” than his wife.

Earlier this week, Timberlake appeared on Today, where he talked fatherhood. “It changes everything,” he said. “You literally just wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and go, ‘I have no idea what I’m doing.'” But he’s following Silas’s lead. “They teach you,” he added. “It’s crazy… Watching him learn things, this new appreciation for both of them — you know, her and him — and so it’s humiliating, and it’s humbling at the same time.”

Game nights actually aren’t anything new for the Biel-Timberlakes. Long before they tied the knot — in their early days of dating, back in 2008 — Biel said that they “do a lot of dinner parties, and we play board games,” adding, “I love Scrabble.”

Let’s hope that the Au Fudge entrepreneur has beaten her “undefeated” husband a few times over the years. Otherwise yesterday’s victory — after at least eight years of playing each other — was a long time coming.
