Jessica Biel may have been behind the public apology that Justin Timberlake issued after all. Their marriage has been under fire ever since Timberlake was caught getting cozy with Alisha Wainwright at a bar on video. The video that was sent to The Sun captured Timberlake with his hand on Wainwright's thigh and the two were holding hands.
According to PopCulture, Biel wanted to shut down the scandal and let the world know that she stood behind her man despite the accusations.

Jessica was the one who encouraged him to apologize publicly.
"Jessica encouraged Justin to put out his statement on Instagram because she felt embarrassed by his actions and wanted him to take accountability," the source revealed to Us Weekly.
Other sources seemed to side with Biel and Timberlake as well. A source had told E! News that nothing was going on between Wainwright and Timberlake after the video was released.
"They were out with all the cast, crew, makeup artists, and everyone was just hanging out in a social setting," the insider told the outlet.
"They are just working together. No validity to any other rumor other than that they are filming together."
The source continued to tell the publication that Timberlake the relentlessness of the allegations is also what pushed him to apologize.
"Justin feels like the story isn't dying and hopes this will be the end of it. He always tries to keep his private life private, but he knows he made a big mistake in public and now has to own up to it," the source added.
Timberlake issued his apology via Instagram a week ago.
"I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love," he began. "A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgement — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar."
"I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better," he continued.
"This is not the example I want to set for my son. I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that. I am incredibly proud to be working on Palmer. Looking forward to continuing making this movie and excited for people to see it," he concluded.
