Jessica Alba Wishes Mom Cathy a Happy Birthday with Sweet Tribute: 'So Grateful for You'

"Thank you for always supporting me, believing in me and pushing me to follow my dreams," the actress wrote

Jessica Alba is sending her mother some birthday love.

On Sunday, the actress, 42, shared an Instagram tribute to her mom Cathy, whom she affectionately called "mamasita." Her post featured a series of photos of the duo and their family, including several sentimental throwbacks.

"Happy Happy Birthday to my mamasita @cathyalba 💖🎉🎂🎊 I love you to the 🌙 [moon] and back — thank you for always supporting me, believing in me and pushing me to follow my dreams," Jessica wrote.

"You keep it real 💯 and hold it down and I’m so grateful for you. Cheers to another trip around the ☀️!" she continued, adding the hashtag #LibraSeason.

The actress's photo carousel kicked off with a snapshot of her and Cathy making heart shapes with their hands. Another showed her husband Cash Warren surprising his mother-in-law with an elaborate birthday cake decorated with sparkler candles.

Among the throwback photos, Alba shared a photo of her mom doting on her daughter when she was a tiny infant, as well as a portrait of her family — including father Mark and brother Joshua — dressed up for a special event.

In the comments section of the post, Cathy sent love back to Alba. "God blessed me with you & I [love] you so very much," she wrote, later adding, "@jessicaalba I Love You So Much."

Last month, Alba took a similar walk down memory lane for her dad's birthday. In a post celebrating her "papasito," she shared an old portrait of her and Joshua when they were toddlers. The siblings could be seen wearing adorable sailor outfits as they posed with their parents.

In June, Alba and Warren, 44, enjoyed a night out together with Cathy and Mark, attending the Tina musical in Los Angeles. The Honest Company founder posted a photo of the group in the theater at the time, writing, "Thx mom and dad for taking us to see 👑 #tina."

In January, her parents came along on a family trip to Disneyland to celebrate son Hayes' 5th birthday. Alba documented the fun with photos on Instagram, referring to her family — which also includes daughters Honor, 15, and Haven, 12 — as "the squad."

"Love the memes we create @disneyland with the whole fam and our besties," she wrote on Instagram at the time.

In a mother-daughter moment last month, Cathy shared a memory of Jessica's first day of kindergarten for a post in which the actress got a little wistful about Hayes' own milestone.

"Hayes’ first day of #kindergarten 🥹❤️ my handsome boy 😫💔😢… it’s just crazy how fast time has flown by. Still my baby," she wrote, prompting her mom to leave her a message in the comments section.

“Awe, I remember your first day of kindergarten. It was definitely harder for me than for you,” Cathy recalled. “You said bye ✌🏻.”
