Jessica Alba and Cash Warren Celebrate 16th Wedding Anniversary: ‘20 Years Together and Forever to Go'

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren are celebrating their wedding anniversary in style!

On Sunday, May 19, Alba, 43, shared a post on Instagram to mark her and her husband's 16th wedding anniversary, writing that the pair has "16 years of marriage, 20 years together and forever to go."

"Happy Anniversary @cash_warren 🫶🏽. I’m proud of us for making it this far," she continued in the caption, alongside a photo of the pair — who share daughters Honor, 15, and Haven, 12, and son Hayes, 6 — all dressed up in complementary black-and-white looks.

"There is no real set of rules or guidance that can ever prepare you for what it means to commit to another person and choose to be family," the Machete actress added. "Through thick and thin we have continually found our way back to each other and have chosen one another. Cheers to us, I love you."

Another photo shows a (much younger) Warren and Alba holding two of their three kids while on vacation, and another black-and-white snap captures the couple wearing quirky patterned outfits.

Another picture in Alba's post shows Warren, 45, kissing his wife on the cheek as they take a selfie on a boat, and another shows Warren holding their then-newborn son Hayes as Honor and Haven stand next to their dad. Two additional photos feature Warren making pancakes in the couple's kitchen and the pair sharing an intimate hug.

Alba and Warren first met in 2004 when Alba played Sue Storm and Warren worked as a director's assistant on the set of Fantastic Four. Just four years later, the couple tied the knot in a surprise ceremony and welcomed Honor less than a month later. They went on to welcome Haven in 2011 and Hayes in 2017.

The actress and film producer have been candid about their love for each other on social media before. Earlier this year, Alba celebrated Valentine's Day with a special tribute to her husband,

"Happy Valentine’s Day, mi amor @cash_warren ❤️," the Sin City actress wrote. "I couldn’t be more grateful to have you as a partner in this lifetime - & our kiddos won the lottery with you as their dad. Te amo, today and everyday 😘."

Last month, Alba shared photos of the family's spring break trip to Hawaii. The couple and their kids posed for photos together, and the actress included snaps of the family's excursion to a waterfall to see a rainbow and a sweet selfie with Honor.

Back in September 2021, Alba spoke with PEOPLE about how she and Warren have sustained their marriage over so many years.

"At different times, there were different things that we needed. Around the time I had the kids, it was like, 'I need [date night] once a week,' " she said. "And he's been like, 'I need you to be present on the weekends and not work.' Over-communicating, maybe that's it."

"I don't think we have a secret at all," she added. "We just have to check each other."
