Each week during  The Golden Bachelor, host Jesse Palmer will answer a few questions about the widower's "journey" to find love. Today Jesse shares his thoughts via email about the pickleball group date, that naughty game of Never Have I Ever, and more.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: That pickleball game was intense, and all of the women were in it to win it for real. Besides Sandra, who practically dove into the audience to return a volley, who impressed you most out on the court?

JESSE PALMER: I was blown away by Ellen. You could see that pickleball really is a lifestyle for her! Ellen seemed like she was in her comfort zone out there, and she was fantastic under pressure. Winning the first ever Golden Bachelor Pickleball Championship was well deserved for Ellen and Kathy.

Speaking of Sandra, it truly warmed my heart to see all the women congratulate her when Gerry gave her the date rose. What is it like to see these contestants be soooo supportive of each other, even as they're dating the same man?

I'll admit, I haven't seen this kind of support since I've been hosting shows in the Bachelor franchise. The support these ladies shared is one of the most heartwarming themes of the season because it was sincere and genuine. Helping each other get ready for dates, encouraging one another before date card drop-offs and rose ceremonies, I saw it throughout the entire journey!

ABC Susan takes another Never Have I Ever mouthful

Jesse, we have to talk about that game of Never Have I Ever. I'm still reeling! What revelation shocked you the most?

Kathy asking, "Can we have another pint over here for Susan?" is all you need to know.

It's so impressive how direct these women are. First, Ellen told Gerry she's falling in love with him, and then Nancy told him she felt like his connection with her wasn't as strong as some of the others. What do you think the contestants on The Bachelor and Bachelorette could learn about clear communication from the Golden Bachelor crowd?

I'm always telling everyone, "Make the most of the time you have, because you don't know when you're going to get that time again." I was really impressed by the ladies openness and vulnerability, and I think it's ok to be honest and upfront and to share concerns earlier than what might feel comfortable. The Golden Gals really made their time with Gerry count.

We're down to just six women, and the coming weeks look to be very emotional. How many boxes of tissues should viewers have on hand for the rest of the season?

I'd recommend buying tissues in bulk.

The Golden Bachelor airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
