Jersey Shore restaurants offer Veterans Day discounts and specials

It's hard to find ways to thank our veterans for all they've done for us, but food is a good place to start.

Saturday, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day, and restaurants across the Jersey Shore are honoring our country's bravest with discounts, deals and special meals.

Check out what each spot is offering, including some every day military discounts:

Ada's Gojjo, Asbury Park

Offering a 10% discount with military ID on Veterans Day.

Carrabba's Italian Grill, Brick

All locations, including the local Brick restaurant, will offer veterans and active duty military with ID a complimentary dine-in appetizer or dessert with a soft beverage (no purchase required). Every day, all locations offer a 10% military discount.

MJ's Restaurant Bar & Grill, multiple locations

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Veterans Day, every MJ's location will give veterans with ID a pick of a free panini, sandwich, wrap, burger or personal pizza.

MorningStar Cafe, Toms River

This cafe offers a 10% discount with military ID every day, but for Veterans Day, they're doing something special. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., veterans can receive a free coffee and meal from a special brunch menu. From 4 to 8 p.m., receive a complimentary Crispy Bacon Brussels Sprout appetizer, and a free meal from a special dinner menu. Only available with military ID. Active duty military will also receive a free coffee on Veterans Day.
