Jersey Shore Restaurant Week is back, with lunch and dinner deals at more than 60 spots

Love going out to eat? The best week of the year is here.

Jersey Shore Restaurant Week, which actually spans 10 days, kicks off Friday, Nov. 3, and features more than 60 Monmouth and Ocean county restaurants serving lunch and dinner prix fixe menus for $20.23, $30.23 and $40.23.

For diners, it is a way to try something new. For owners, it's a time to attract new customers during the slow season.

Jersey Shore Restaurant Week runs through Sunday, Nov. 12. Here's what you need to know.

Restaurants from Union Beach in northern Monmouth County to Seaside Park in Ocean County are participating. Many have long been a part of Jersey Shore Restaurant Week, but this year's new additions are Senza Cucina in the Bayville section of Berkeley Township, Sea Crab in Neptune, The Squire at Branches in West Long Branch, and Mugsy's Mercantile and Sinner's Steakhouse in Point Pleasant Beach.

Restaurants returning from a Restaurant Week hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic are Blend on Main in Manasquan, and Seabase Lounge at The White Sands in Point Pleasant Beach.

What's on the menu

Some restaurants will offer a lunch deal during Restaurant Week, others will serve dinner, and some will offer both. At Apple Street Kitchen in Tinton Falls, chef and owner Casey Pesce's lunch-only menu features a roasted turkey melt with fig jam and Brie, plus pecan sticky bun beignets, among other dishes.

Beijing Bistro in Red Bank has satay chicken skewers and sizzling black pepper chicken; Dina's Bistro in Toms River has cacio e pepe gnocchi with shrimp and sausage, plus pistachio cake for dessert; and Ohana Grill in Lavallette has pork belly spring rolls, lobster risotto cakes and pumpkin tartufo.
