Meet Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn's twins!

The Talk co-host and Star Trek actress got married in July 2007 and welcomed twin daughters, Charlie Tamara Tulip and Dolly Rebecca Rose, 15, one year later in December 2008.

Over the years, both O'Connell and Romijn have shared glimpses into the lives of their teens and their experiences in raising them. O'Connell previously opened up to PEOPLE about how he found it "interesting being the father of girls" because he's "never had sisters."

However, O'Connell has become a proud girl dad ever since his daughters were born. Although, he did joke about a time when his girls might've felt differently towards him when they were 11 years old, like most pre-teens.

Now, Charlie and Dolly are at the age where they're familiarizing themselves with their parents' work — specifically Romijn, who revealed to PEOPLE in September 2022 that her daughters are becoming Trekkies.

Here's everything to know about O'Connell and Romijn's twin daughters, Charlie and Dolly.

O'Connell and Romijn welcomed their twin daughters, Charlie and Dolly, together on Dec. 28, 2008. “Mother, father and both girls are all home and doing well,” Romijn’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE at the time of their arrival.

One month prior to the birth of her twins, the actress told PEOPLE that she was taking "quite a bit of time off" from work. “I really want this to be my job for at least the next six months," she said in November 2008. “Jerry and I want to be very hands-on. My mom’s coming to help us as much as we need. But this is something we’re really looking forward to.”

She added, “I’m really excited to see what happens next and to visit a completely different chapter in my life.”

They act like normal teenagers

Despite having two famous parents, Charlie and Dolly act like normal teenagers. In December 2020, O'Connell joked with PEOPLE about dealing with his daughters' pre-teen years.

"Normally, this is the age — I know, because I'm sort of experiencing it — where they want me to drop them off at school two blocks away so their friends don't see me," O'Connell said at the time.

"They want to be dropped off at the mall and hang out there for four hours, but they don't want their friends to see me when I pick them up," he added. (BTW, they go to movies together now and take pictures together, too!)

For the father of two, being a girl dad has been an experience unlike any other. "It is interesting being the father of girls. I never had sisters so it is a little different," O'Connell said.

They've become Star Trek fans

Sure, their mom stars as Una Chin-Riley in Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds — but that isn't necessarily the reason for Charlie and Dolly's sudden interest in the popular sci-fi series.

"They're down with it ever since they found out Paul Wesley is a part of it," Romijn admitted to PEOPLE in September 2022. "My girls are 13, so they were like, 'Did you say Paul Wesley? Oh, we're on board. We are 100% board,'" she continued.

The actress added that she's since "been indoctrinating a lot of 11-year-old girls" to the fandom. "All these 11-year-old girls are coming out of the woodwork going, 'Is Paul Wesley a part of your team now?'"

"I'm like, 'Maybe. Maybe not,'" she added, saying, "It's bringing them all out in droves."

They got their first cell phones at age 13

Not only do they act like normal teenagers, but their parents treat them like normal teenagers, too! In December 2021, Romijn announced on her Instagram that she finally allowed her girls to get their first-ever cell phones at age 13.

"Held off as long as we could, fought a good fight, but they got phones. Goodbye childhood," the actress captioned the photo, featuring her Dolly and Charlie smiling wide with phones in their hands.

They attend concerts with their parents

Romijn and her girls are music lovers! The actress has posted several family-fun outings with her daughters at various rock 'n' roll concerts over the years.

In November 2021, Romijn shared a photo of her girls at a Rolling Stones concert, featuring the family wearing merch from the band.

"Rock n Roll bday with @therollingstones Thanks for the bday love everybody!" the actress captioned the photo posted to Instagram.

In December 2022, Romijn took her daughter to see Dolly Parton. "Me and The Dolly’s," the actress cleverly captioned an Instagram photo of herself posing alongside her daughter and the singer.

Romijn often posts about how "proud" she is to be a mom of two girls, uploading sweet photos and captions dedicated to her daughters.

In December 2021, Romijn uploaded a photo with her girls in celebration of their 13th birthday. "Slow down, ladies, it’s going too fast. So proud of you two," she wrote alongside a pic that featured the trio smiling at the beach.

In December 2020, O'Connell opened up to PEOPLE about the time spent with his daughters, specifically during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, he detailed that he "will never get this time with them ever again."

"This is it. Very soon, when this is all over and everything's back to normal and kids are back in school all the time, I have a feeling parents are gonna be like, 'Oh, it was kind of nice having my kids at home,'" O'Connell said. "I almost feel like, just because the age that they are, I'm getting a free extra year with them."
