Jermaine Dupri And Jacquees Host Arcade Party In “Pick It Up” Music Video

Jermaine Dupri and Jacquees flirt their way through a lively arcade party in their new “Pick It Up” music video. The song is the first to be released from the So So Def CEO‘s pending EP featuring collaborations with artists he has not yet worked with.
In “Pick It Up” the R&B artist sings his heartfelt desires to a love interest with a complicated history. JD adds a confident rap verse with similar feelings. Dupri also produced the track. The accompanying, colorful visual is directed by Diesel Filmz.
“If you call me and I come through and I put it down what you gon’ do,” sings the Georgia native on the up-tempo hook. “You Keep talking about how you move, If I put it down what you gone do.”
“This song really reminds me of some New Jack Swing type vibes,” explained Jacquees in a press statement. ”It’s always a pleasure to work with JD; that’s my bro and I trust his direction. I love the record too and I think the people will also. It’s time for some feel-good music.”
Jermaine Dupri was honored last week at the third annual Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) gala with the Clarence Avant Trailblazer Award for his work and success as a Hip-Hop artist, award-winning producer, songwriter, author, DJ, and music industry mogul.
