Jeremy Renner Shares Health Update: “My Greatest Therapy Has Been My Mind & The Will To Be Here” Since Snowplow Accident

Jeremy Renner has shared an update on his recovery since his snowplow accident last January that left him with life-threatening injuries.

“I have been exploring EVERY type of therapy since Jan 14th”, he wrote on Instagram. “Everyday, countless hours of physical therapy, peptide injections, iv drips and pushes, stem cell and exosomes, red light / IR therapy, hyperbaric chamber 2.0 atmospheres, cold plunge, and the list goes on and on.”

“BUT my greatest therapy has been my mind and the will to be here and push to recover and be better…. Be exceptional… I feel it’s my duty to do so. Not to squander my life being spared , but to give back to my family, friends, and all of you whom have empowered me to endure . I thank you all.”

The accident took place while Renner was plowing snow in the driveway of his Lake Tahoe home on New Year’s Day. He had been trying to stop the snow-removal tractor from sliding and hitting his nephew when he was pulled under and crushed. The Hawkeye actor was airlifted to a hospital where he was treated for “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.”

First reports had Renner in “critical condition,” but after surgery, he reappeared on social media, thanking supporters for their comments during the process. Renner has since kept fans updated on his recovery on social media.

Renner most recently announced he had recorded a collection of songs marking various milestones in his recovery from the accident.

“A collection of music we wrote about different milestones in my journey of recovery since Jan 1st this year. ‘Love and Titanium‘ has been painful, deeply healing, and ultimately cathartic for me to create. I hope I get the courage to share with you all.”

The collection’s title, Love and Titanium, references a comment Renner made to ABC News last spring. “I’ve lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience,” he said, “but I’ve been refueled and refilled with love and titanium.”
