Hawkeye on Disney+ sees Jeremy Renner reprising his role as everyone's favourite archer for the first time since 2019's Avengers: Endgame.

While promoting the former on a BBC show called Becoming... Hawkeye, Renner talked about the latter film and admitted that he won't watch it ever again (from 11 minutes 29 seconds in).

The actor stated that it wasn't because his character survived Vormir while Black Widow died (still a sore spot for many), but because going to the premiere with his fellow cast members was such an emotional experience, and he wants to keep his memories of that as they are.

"We were all laughing and weeping, it was a lot," he told Radio 1's Ali Plumb. "It was a lot to deal... I can't... I'll never watch that again!

"It was a difficult experience. We were all just a sobbing mess, and we were laughing, and it was amazing."

There's definitely something to be said for the communal experience of watching Endgame, with major fan-pleasing moments paying off after years of build-up to rapturous applause, that you can't really replicate while watching it at home.

Hawkeye dropped its first two episodes today (November 24), introducing Clint Barton to new bow-and-arrow wielder Kate Bishop (played by Hailee Steinfeld) after she discovers the Ronin outfit he previously wore, which also brings some baddies out for revenge out of the woodwork.
