Tamar Braxton and her fiancé, Jeremy “JR” Robinson, have ended their relationship, seven months after getting engaged. Reportedly, JR is the one who called it quits so he could “focus on getting back to positive energy & being a better person.”

On Sunday (Oct. 1.), the personal injury and criminal defense attorney took to his Instagram Story to announce the breakup.

“So many questions. So many assumptions. I want to answer all that I can with respect. Yes, Tamar and I are no longer together. I ended the relationship to focus on getting back to positive energy & being a better person,” he wrote.

JR then acknowledged the public’s speculations about why he called it quits, clarifying that he “never cheated” and that he wasn’t present when Tamar’s car was burglarized at her mother’s house. He also mentioned that he was never with Tamar for fame or money, as he’s “always represented famous people.”

“The truth is I was in an amazing place financially and mentally. I turned down Queens Court several times before I gave in,” he continued. “Ultimately, I fell in love and it did not end how I wanted it. So I want to heal. Tamar and I will always be friends and family for life,” he concluded.

As the “All The Way Home” singer is embarking on her Love And War 10 Year Anniversary Tour, she’s made it clear that she’s hasn’t “nor will” address anything about her breakup.

“I didn’t nor will I address anything but my #LOVEANDWARTOUR so stop that story pronto,” she wrote on her Instagram Story Monday (Oct. 2). Prior to that, she posted Saturday (Sept. 30) on X, “When people are calculated and mean the Lord will surely deal with you.”

Just in March, the 46-year-old singer excitedly toasted to her birthday with JR by her side.

“It’s my birthday but I have to post the one who puts this cheesy smile on my face,” she wrote. “It took me a while to realize that this wholesome, traditional love is the kind that I wanted and needed. We have 6 children between the two of us and they mean EVERYTHING to me.”

“So miss me with the he has 4 baby mamas!! Thank God for them. We are blessed and drama free thank God for my best friend, life partner and fiancée @rarebreednola,” she added after JR made headlines about having four different mothers of his children.

Years before Tamar ventured for love on Queen’s Court, along with Evelyn Lozada and Nivea, she was married to music manager Vincent Herbert from 2003-2017. Ahead of going on the show this year, she told ET why she decided to turn to reality TV to find love.

“I had to find Mr. Right somewhere!” she said. “I feel like I looked high and low and the truth is I wanted to meet some potentials on there in a different kind of way. You meet people through people and I think I done ran out of people.”
